Occasionally, we have the time for a passion project and the Coketa project began as a dream job that one of our designers conceived during happy hour and quickly evolved into a potential new typology. The concept is a fusion of retail clothing store, runway fashion and an upbeat club scene. Layering activities is an effective way to build business and community. For example, the retail space attracts shoppers who often stay for early happy hours with attractive food and drink specials. The daily runway fashion shows begin during the middle of happy hour. The models then promote the dance club specials and utilize the continuing momentum. The innovative design features a runway stage that doubles as a bar and runs inside and outside.
